TEAM SEATING SHELTERS
As we all know our local sporting areas in Merriwa are heavily used and in need of constant upgrade and improvements.
The Sports Ground User Group committee, which is aligned with Junior Rugby League is hard at work behind the scenes. The committee is made up of all users from our amazing sporting community and is motivated to improve our current sporting precinct. Our latest improvement is the generous donation of 2 x team seating shelters for our home and away teams to now enjoy. The donation is thanks to the Junior Rugby League’s Major Sponsor “MACH ENERGY” and is for all to use and benefit from.
# If you are also looking at helping out our wonderful sporting community please get in touch. .

DROUGHT RESILENCE PLAN CONSULTATION
On display until 22 March 2024, 05:00 PM
We are pleased to announce that the public consultation for the development of a comprehensive Drought Resilience Plan is now open. This initiative, a collaborative effort by Upper Hunter Shire, Singleton Council, and Muswellbrook Shire Council, is made possible through funding from the Australian Government and the NSW Government under the Future Drought Fund. The strategy aims to enhance our region’s resilience to future droughts by focusing on understanding historical impacts, exploring mitigation and adaptation strategies, and prioritising community-led actions.
Consultation Period
The consultation will be open until 5pm on Friday, 22 March 2024. This is a pivotal opportunity for community members to share their insights, experiences, and suggestions to help shape a resilience plan that truly reflects the needs and strengths of our region.
How to Participate
To have your say, please access the survey through the following link: Take the Survey
The survey is straightforward and should only take a few minutes to complete. We value your feedback and encourage you to contribute to this important discussion.
Why Your Feedback Matters
Your participation is critical in ensuring the Drought Resilience Plan addresses the real needs of our community. By sharing your perspectives, you help us identify key areas for action, innovative solutions for drought mitigation and adaptation, and strategies for effective community engagement. This consultation is a chance for you to influence how our community prepares for and responds to drought conditions.
