We’ll be closed Friday, 29 March & Monday, 1 April, for the Easter Long Weekend. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, 2 April.

 Easter Waste Management Centre Updates 🐣

Heads up, Upper Hunter Shire! Our Waste Management Centres have some changes coming up this Easter.
 
🚫 Please note, all our Waste Management Centres will be closed on:
Friday, 29 March
Saturday, 30 March
Sunday, 31 March
Monday, 1 April
 
🔹 Merriwa and Murrurundi facilities are opening extra days to ensure you’re all set during the holidays! They’ll be open Thursday, 28 March & Tuesday, 2 April from 10am – 2pm.
 
🔹 Scone and Aberdeen are open regular hours before and after the public holiday closures.
 
Plan ahead for a clean and tidy Easter! 🌼🗑️

🌊 Pool Closure Alert 🏊

As the warm season winds down, so do our community pools. We’re sending out a reminder that all local pools will be closing their doors for the cooler months ahead.
 
🏊 Murrurundi & District War Memorial Pool is closed from today, Monday 25 March 2024.
 
🗓️ Thursday 28 March 2024, will be your last chance for a dip until the next swimming season at the following pools:
🏊 Scone Swimming Pool
🏊 Merriwa Olympic Pool

🚧 Street Sweeping Schedule Alert: February – March 2024 🍃
 
Upper Hunter Shire Council is gearing up for our Street Sweeping Program in the following areas:
📍 Scone: 26 February – 29 March
📍 Aberdeen: 28 February – 27 March
📍 Murrurundi, Merriwa, and Cassilis: 4 March – 29 March
 
🚗 Residents, please make sure that all vehicles, trailers, caravans, and other items are removed from gutters and kerbsides. This helps us in efficiently cleaning our streets.
