UH Family Day Care (UHFDC) is a network of qualified Educators who provide an education and care service from their own homes in a family environment. The Coordination Unit is based in Scone although Educators are available throughout both the Upper Hunter and Muswellbrook shires.

FDC is approved to operate 24 hours, and so non-standard evening, early morning, weekend, or overnight care may be available in certain circumstances. FDC also supports In-Home child care for eligible families, where care is provided from the family home (strict eligibility criteria applies). Government assistance with the cost of care (CCB/CCR) is available to eligible families.
