A community initiative for parents and children in a supportive play based environment. We offer a wide range of activities including art, sensory experiences and opportunities for literacy, music and physical development. This Playgroup welcomes children aged 0-6 years. It is held each fortnight during School term at the Merriwa Pre-School and Activity Centre in Bow Street Merriwa. |

The Merriwa Pre-School and Activity Centre is a Community Based centre catering to the needs of local families. The Merriwa Pre-School operates 5 days a week between the hours of 8.00am and 3.30pm for children aged between 2 and 6 years. Toybox is a mobile outreach service providing structured playgroups for rural/ remote communities, including venues at Settlement Hall & Cassilis. Toy Box is a not-for-profit organisation which provides parental support and educational programs for children aged 0-6 years in isolated areas of the Upper Hunter. Come along and enjoy our fun-filled program including: Craft, Construction, Story Time, Puzzles, Morning Tea, Outdoor Play, Music Time and Baby play. UH Family Day Care (UHFDC) is a network of qualified Educators who provide an education and care service from their own homes in a family environment. The Coordination Unit is based in Scone although Educators are available throughout both the Upper Hunter and Muswellbrook shires.
