💙 Merriwa is Going Blue for Do It For Dolly Day 2026 💙

The Merriwa & District Chamber of Commerce and Industry is proud to support Do It For Dolly Day this year, standing together to promote kindness and help end bullying in our community.

We’re encouraging everyone — businesses, families, schools, and community groups — to “turn blue” for the week of Monday 4 May. Add a splash of blue to your shopfront, workplace, or social media to show your support.

𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐚 – 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟖 𝐌𝐚𝐲 – Thanks to the Merriwa CWA who are allowing us to use their rooms, The Merriwa Chamber are hosting a Morning Tea Fundraiser, with all proceeds going to Dolly’s Dream. More information will follow soon.

There will also be a prize for the “Best Blue Outfit” on the day — so start planning your brightest, boldest blue look.

𝐑𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞 – 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 – We will be running a raffle, and donations of prizes from local businesses or individuals would be gratefully accepted. Every contribution helps us raise funds and spread kindness across the district. Details on ticket sales to follow.

𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 – A 100 Club will also be running as part of our fundraising efforts. Dates and details will be shared shortly.

𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬? – NewsXpress Merriwa is stocking up on blue balloons, crepe paper, decorations and more for anyone wanting to “go blue” for the week. If you need supplies, please check them out and support a local business.
