BRAINSTORMING SESSION

📢 **You Are Invited!** 🎉

Join the Merriwa & District Chamber of Commerce & Industry for an exciting brainstorming session! This is your chance to shape an incredible community event scheduled for Friday, 13th December.
 
🏙️ **Background:**
This year, thanks to Jacqui Bakewell from UHSC, we’ve secured a grant for open street events in Murrurundi, Scone, and Merriwa. The Merriwa Chamber is thrilled to support the event in our town, but we need YOUR ideas to make it truly special!
 
🗣️ **Merriwa Community Ideas:**
This event is **FOR the community**, and we want your input! Whether you’re an adult, elderly, kid, or youth, your opinions and ideas are valuable to us. (Yes, bring the kids and their ideas!!)
 
**What are we looking for?**
– Creative ideas
– Fun activities
– Ways to make the event inclusive and engaging
 
**Why should you attend?**
– Be a part of something great
– Connect with your community
– Share your unique perspective

🎉 Update on Merriwa Shared Pathway Fundraising!

We’re thrilled to report that we’ve raised a total of $𝟒𝟑,𝟑𝟑𝟏.𝟕𝟒 so far, including donations and income from our raffle! We’re now just $16,668.26 short of reaching our goal of $60,000 to cover council fees for residents along the Merriwa Shared Pathway.
 
This has been an amazing effort from everyone involved! Thank you to everyone who has made a donation, contributed cans and bottles to the Men’s Shed for the 10c recycling, purchased raffle tickets, and shared our posts.
 
Your support has been incredible, and every contribution brings us closer to our target. This project will connect our community and enhance safety and accessibility for all.
A big thank you to everyone who has supported us. Let’s keep pushing forward!

RAFFLE WINNERS

Thank you to everyone who supported our raffle and purchased tickets, and also to those who volunteered their time to sell tickets.
 
The raffle was drawn through the online raffle system, at the Merriwa RSL Club at 7pm on Saturday 8th June 2024 and witnessed by Jane Walmsley.

Over the coming week we will be able to give an accurate update on the total money raised for the Shared Pathway Fund.

SHARED PATHWAY FUNDS UPDATE

🎉🎉Exciting news from the Merriwa Shared Pathway Fund!
 
Thanks to a recent generous donation from the Merriwa Rotary Club and the ongoing dedication of the Merriwa Men’s Shed, who have been diligently collecting and recycling cans and bottles, we’ve surpassed the halfway mark, reaching $32,707.39 🎉🎉
 
We’re grateful to the local businesses that have supported us by placing donation tins on their counters, and to all individuals who have contributed. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference!
