Council Outcomes for the Merriwa Cycle and Walkway
Merriwa Cycle and Walkway
Council has endorsed proposed changes to the route for the Merriwa Cycle and Walkway, after consultation with the community.
Council endorsed changes to the route as follows:
a) locate the path behind the new skate park and adjacent to the tennis courts, joining up with King George V Avenue.
b) after leaving the skate park, proceed along King George V Avenue (Bettington Street), turn right into Marquet Street proceed to the intersection of Blaxland Street turn left into Blaxland Street and proceed to link up with the proposed cycleway at the intersection with Vennacher Street, therefore allowing the town centre pathway to connect to the Skate Park without a “dead end” after leaving McKenzie Street at Dutton Street.
