**Background:**This year, thanks to Jacqui Bakewell from UHSC, we’ve secured a grant for open street events in Murrurundi, Scone, and Merriwa. The Merriwa Chamber is thrilled to support the event in our town, but we need YOUR ideas to make it truly special!
**Merriwa Community Ideas:**This event is **FOR the community**, and we want your input! Whether you’re an adult, elderly, kid, or youth, your opinions and ideas are valuable to us. (Yes, bring the kids and their ideas!!)

The Sandy Hollow Motorfest committee is thrilled to announce its partnership with MS Australia for this year’s event, focusing on raising funds to support Australians living with multiple sclerosis. The annual celebration of automotive culture, which has become a cornerstone event for car enthusiasts and families alike, is set to take place on a new date this year, Saturday 17th August 2024.
This year, the Sandy Hollow Motorfest isn’t just about showcasing classic cars, cutting-edge modifications, and the spirit of motoring; it’s also about making a significant impact in the lives of those affected by multiple sclerosis. MS Australia is the leading national organization supporting individuals and their families living with this chronic condition, and the Motorfest is proud to contribute to their invaluable work.

The Sandy Hollow Motorfest has always been more than a car show. It’s a day for the community to come together, enjoy shared passions, and now, support a vital cause. All proceeds from ticket sales, auctions, and donations during the event will go directly to MS Australia, aiding in research, support services, and advocacy efforts for people with multiple sclerosis.
“We are honored to partner with MS Australia for this year’s Motorfest. It’s an opportunity for the motoring community to drive positive change and support those in need,” said Mick Turner, head of the Sandy Hollow Motorfest committee. “We invite everyone to mark their calendars for 17th August 2024, for what promises to be an unforgettable day of cars, community, and charity.”
