Merriwa Rescue Squad – VRA Rescue NSW

Thursday 20th July – Merriwa Rescue Squad – VRA Rescue NSW and NSW Rural Fire Service brigades from Merriwa River, Bow, and Worondi joined forces and braved the cold conditions to undertake training in a challenging motor vehicle accident rescue scenario. A vehicle resting on its side, with two occupants heavily trapped inside, and immovable objects either side of the vehicle made for a hard night of thinking, problem solving and enacting plans to safely extricate the two patients.

Our brand new, state-of-the-art rescue truck, and the best rescue tools money can buy were put through their paces, and excelled at every turn. Our new e-draulic rescue tools are faster, stronger, quieter and more maneuaverable, meaning we can access and extricate patients faster and more safely.

A great night of collaborative training, and knowledge sharing, ensuring our emergency services are ready to spring into action wherever and whenever needed.

If you are you ready to save a life, contact us join your only local team of rescue specialists!
