Now is the time to start registering your child/children for our upcoming season.
 
Registration includes;
– Club polo shirt
– Playing shorts
– Playing socks
ATT: We are attempting a local Group 21 U11’s “girls” tackle competition, however early registration is essential to ensure the numbers are there. Please register ASAP.
 
Please note; kids wanting to play in two teams eg, girls league tag and tackle, email for your discount code.
 
Under 6’s – FREE REGISTRATION 🙌
U7’s – U11’s Tackle – $100
U12’s – U16’s GLT – $100
U11’s – Girls Tackle – $100 (playing GLT discount code) 
Active kids vouchers can be used towards your registration cost.

We are able to add more children to groups/create more groups, so if your child is interested please come along on Friday.

MEMBERSHIP

Thank you to everyone who came to the pool yesterday afternoon-it was great to see so many interested in Swimming Club.
 
We will post some groups and times up on the page over the weekend. If you were unable to make it yesterday but are still interested, please come down to the pool from 3.30pm Friday and we can slot children into a group.
 
If your child is keen to continue, they will need to be signed up as a member-membership this year is under ‘Come and Try’ and will be free for Term 1.
 
It is a reasonably straight forward process to become a member. If you do not have an account with Swim Central, you will need to do this first before you are able to sign up for membership.  The link below has instructions of what to do to register. The following link are instructions of how to purchase a membership.
It is important that all children are signed up as members before the next Swimming Club afternoon on Friday.
 
If you have any difficulty, please reach out! We will be able to assist next Friday if needed.

FIRST AID COURSE

 

Supply First Aid will be holding First Aid Courses on the 17th of February 9am at the Merriwa Sports Club.
 
Supply First Aid have offered to donate a portion of the course cost back to Merriwa Physical Culture to help fundraise for our club.
 
There are 2 courses are available: Provide First Aid and Provide First Aid in an education or care setting.

Upper Hunter Shire Council invites expressions of interest from community members to join the Community Advisory Committees of Aberdeen, Merriwa, Murrurundi, and Scone. Notice Of Public Exhibition – Draft Upper Hunter Land Use Strategy 202

The Upper Hunter Shire Council has prepared a draft Land Use Strategy for the Upper Hunter Shire Local Government Area (LGA). The Strategy aims to provide clear direction for decisions taken by Council and NSW Government agencies relating to the future use of land within the LGA. The Strategy outlines key land use policies and principles for the LGA and provides planning context for the preparation of Local Environmental Plan (LEP) provisions. It also establishes a policy framework to facilitate opportunities as they emerge in the future.

Inspection of Draft Strategy: The draft Strategy and supporting documents can be viewed at Council’s Offices at 135 Liverpool Street, Scone, 42 Vennacher Street, Merriwa and 47 Mayne Street, Murrurundi during normal business hours. The draft Strategy can be downloaded from the Council’s website: www.upperhunter.nsw.gov.au.

Exhibition Period: from 1 February 2024 to 28 February 2024
