Merriwa Catholic Church

The Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle extends along the east coast of New South Wales from Lake Macquarie to Taree and includes Merriwa and Murrurundi. It covers 10 local government areas, representing almost 150,000 Catholics and is organised into 37 parishes.

We are dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals, families and communities across the region through a range of community support programs and agencies. Guided by the principles of Catholic social teaching, these initiatives reflect a shared commitment to care, compassion and inclusion.
