Merriwa Historical Society preserves and shares the rich history of Merriwa and the surrounding district. Located in the Colonial Cottage building on the corner of Bettington and Bow Streets, the society was formed in 1967 and features local historical displays, family research services and community history resources. Run entirely by volunteers, the society welcomes visitors, bus tours and new members interested in local history. Open Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 9:30am to 1:30pm, and by appointment.
